1. Do I need to pay any money to register for the Hackathon?
No. You do not have to pay anything to anyone to register yourself for any Hackathon on HackerEarth.
2. Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the Hackathon?
This hackathon is open to any Student, Working Professional, or Freelancer with a passion for coding and solving current banking problems using Large language models.
3. How do I submit what I have made for the Hackathon?
You have to develop the application on your local system and submit it on HackerEarth in tar/zip file format along with instructions to run the application and source code.
4. Do we need to have the entire prototype fully working?
The submission should be functional so that it can be reviewed by the judges.
5. How is the environment? Will your environment support any language? Will you provide any IDE and DB for us to work on ideas?
You have to develop the entire software application on your local system and submit it on HackerEarth in tar/zip file format along with instructions to run the application and source code.
6. Does one have to be online and available for the entire duration of the Hackathon?
No, one does not need to be logged in on HackerEarth or be online for the entire duration. You can develop the application on your local system based on the given themes and then submit it on HackerEarth, on the specific challenge page.
7. Since there is no specific technology mentioned, are there any restrictions on using number of pre-built libraries?
There is no restriction to use any language, technology stack, or libraries. You can use any of them to create the web/mobile application. However, you must use a Large language model for your project.
8. Do I need to give a demo for the product that I have built?
Yes, you need to submit a small presentation or video that demos your submission..
9. A fully developed application need to have a solid backend for data storage like SQL, SharePoint etc. since its online, is it accepted to show only the prototype of it?
Yes it's absolutely fine to submit just the prototype. If you use any database like MySQL or PostgresSQL you can also submit a database dump along with your submission. However you are allowed to submit just the prototype.
10. If it is a team submission, does that mean all team members will have access to work at the same time?
Yes, all team members can login from their account and do application submission on HackerEarth. However, only one project per team needs to be submittted (multiple submissions are not allowed).
11. Who will own the IP(Intellectual Property) Rights to the product that I have built?
All the prototypes created in both the rounds will be the IP of Axis Bank.
12. Can the documentation of solution be in a language other than English?
No. The Product/Solution should be in English or language as shared in the theme. The materials presented by participants (including any videos or materials) must be in English.
1. Where will the finale take place?
The Finale will be an onsite event in Bangalore. The theme for the finale will be shared on the spot. Selected teams will be called in the finale round to prepare and present the final solution. Non-representation in the finale will lead to disqualification of the selected team.
2. Do I have to carry any document for attending the onsite event?
All selected finalists must carry a valid government identity proof along with them on the day of the finale (Aadhaar Card, Driving License, etc).
3. Will travel arrangements be made for the onsite event?
Travel arrangements and logistics need to be taken care of by the participants. Reimbursement for travel cost (flight/train/bus/cab) will be provided to those travelling from outside Bangalore to the onsite venue. Reimbursement will be made based on actuals, subject to successful verification of the bills submitted, with an upper cap of INR 12000 per outstation participant. Not applicable for business class flight tickets and AC 1st class train tickets.
4. Will accodomodation be provided for the onsite event?
Participants will be allowed to stay at the venue throughout the duration of the onsite finale. Hotel accommodation or reimbursement will not be provided.
5. Will internet be provided at the onsite event?
No, internet connection will not be provided to the participants at the onsite venue. Participants will have to carry dongle or hotspot facility to have a stable network in their laptops/devices.
6. Will any hardware/tool/dataset be provided at the onsite event?
Dummy datasets for the finale will be provided by Axis Bank. However, the technology and tools (PC, laptop, dongle for WiFi, headphones, etc) will have to be arrenged by the participants themselves. Electric sockets to charge your devices will be availabe at the onsite venue.
