FaaS Wars II is the next edition of the popular global coding challenge organised by Nimbella Serverless Platform and HackerEarth.

In this competition, you'll learn "to serverless", have fun, compete - and, maybe, win!

Step 1: Sign up for Nimbella
Step 2: Discover educational materials at the Learning Station
Step 3: Write a code to control a robot (faasfighter) moving on a battlefield and fire lasers to battle another robot, built by other participants.
Step 4: Battle against other robots
Step 5: Refer your friends to the Competition and earn up to 5 lives for your robot
Step 6: Improve your robot and win cash prizes monthly.

The extra lives will NOT be used in the final battle

IMPORTANT UPDATE : To keep the competition fair, winners from the past season will not be eligible to participate in the final battles. However, they can participate in the regular battles.

Join the #FaasWars2 channel on our Slack community, #ServerlessMasters (Nimbella’s engineers and other experienced serverless developers) will guide you and answer all your questions quickly.

The battles will be held bi-weekly and each episode will have one winner.

A New Tech

The FaaS Wars is a global serverless challenge that aims to promote the new tech within any developers' communities - Serverless Computing. The game’s concept is simple: you write code to control a robot (faasfighter) moving in a battlefield and firing lasers to battle another robot, built by other participants. The goal of the game is to defeat the "enemy" robot, hitting it 5 times, and of course, avoiding the lasers it will be firing at your robot. The time limit for each match is one minute. To create your first serverless functions (serverless robot) you should use the next generation Serverless Platform - Nimbella.

The cash prize will be paid within two weeks after announcing the winner for each episode.
