Overview

Welcome to FutureForge, the hackathon that redefines the future. We're here to bridge technology, innovation, and sustainability to tackle tomorrow's challenges head-on. We invite you to join us on this transformative journey where collaboration, innovation, and forging solutions are the norm. At FutureForge, sustainability isn't just a buzzword; it's the driving force. We challenge you to harness technology's power to create lasting change for a better world.

Under the overarching theme of "FutureForge," participants will have the opportunity to delve into four distinct tracks, each focused on a critical area of development:

  1. IT Sustainability
  2. Educational Revolution
  3. Security Trust and Generative AI
  4. Open Innovation.

Themes

Participants shall select one or multiple tasks from the mentioned tasks under each theme and design the prototype. The participants can bring in their innovations and take up tasks independently.

IT Sustainability

In the context of IT Sustainability, address the environmental challenges arising from the rapid expansion of the information technology sector. The goal is to develop innovative solutions that make IT practices more eco-friendly, reduce carbon footprints, and foster sustainable development.

Tasks

1. Data center cooling efficiency

Develop methods to improve the cooling efficiency of data centers, a crucial factor in reducing the energy consumption of these facilities.

2. Carbon footprint tracking

Create tools or platforms enabling organizations to measure and track their carbon footprint resulting from IT operations accurately.

3. Supply chain sustainability

Investigate and suggest sustainable practices in the IT supply chain, ensuring ethical sourcing, reduced environmental impact, and responsible manufacturing processes.

Educational Revolution

Efficiently grading MCQ tests is a time-consuming task for educators. The challenge is to develop a mobile/desktop/web application that streamlines the process by enabling teachers to scan OMR sheets using their smartphones, automating the grading process.

Tasks

1. User-friendly interface:

Design a user-friendly interface that ensures easy navigation and usage for teachers, optimizing their experience with the OMR grading app.

2. Answer key management:

Implement a feature allowing teachers to upload the answer key, specifying question numbers, correct options, and corresponding marks.

3. Efficient evaluation process:

Develop algorithms for evaluating answer sheets based on the uploaded key. The system should support evaluating multiple answer sheets using the same key.

Security Trust and Generative AI

In today's interconnected digital landscape, the proliferation of cyber threats poses significant challenges to individual privacy, organizational security, and societal trust. Simultaneously, the emergence of generative AI technologies presents novel opportunities for innovation but also introduces new vectors for malicious exploitation and misinformation dissemination. This theme aims to address the intersection of cyber security and generative AI, seeking innovative solutions to safeguard digital infrastructure, mitigate threats, and promote responsible AI usage.

 Tasks

1. Adversarial robustness in AI systems:

Develop robust generative AI models resilient to adversarial attacks, ensuring their reliability and trustworthiness in real-world applications. Explore techniques for detecting and mitigating adversarial inputs to enhance the security and resilience of AI systems.

2. Secure AI model training and deployment:

Design secure pipelines and frameworks for training and deploying generative AI models, addressing vulnerabilities in data handling, model architectures, and deployment environments. Consider encryption, access controls, and secure multiparty computation to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.

3. AI-driven threat detection and response:

Utilize generative AI techniques for proactive threat detection and rapid response in cyber security operations. Develop AI-powered systems capable of analyzing vast amounts of data to identify anomalous behavior, detect emerging threats, and autonomously trigger mitigation measures.

4. Explainable AI for cybersecurity:

Create interpretable and transparent AI models to enhance understanding and trust in cyber security decision-making processes. Investigate methods for explaining AI-generated outputs, providing insights into the rationale behind security recommendations and facilitating human-AI collaboration.

5. Ethical considerations in AI security:

Address ethical implications and societal impacts associated with the intersection of cyber security and generative AI. Explore principles of fairness, accountability, and transparency to ensure that AI-powered security solutions uphold fundamental rights, avoid biases, and promote inclusivity.

Open Innovation

Open innovation is a powerful concept that helps external ideas, talents, and collaboration to drive creativity and problem-solving. The task is to create solutions that enhance the efficiency, inclusivity, and impact of open innovation initiatives. Bring in all your innovative ideas here!
