Winners are announced.
1: I have a great idea, but for implementation I need access to a Connected car. Also for complete implementation I would need investments. What kind of help can I expect from Hacker Earth and HARMAN.
At the prototyping phase, please check if you can represent the functioning of a connected car by using off the shelve processing device like, raspberry pie, mobile phone, Arduino board etc.
2.I have a great idea, but for implementation I need access to a Satellite communication. What kind of help can I expect from Hacker Earth and HARMAN.

As Phase 1 is Idea Submission Phase, it is not mandatory to develop a working model/prototype in phase 1 itself. Phase 2 is when teams with best ideas would be invited for a prototyping round. However, if you desire, you can also develop the entire application on your local system and submit it on HackerEarth in tar/zip file format along with instructions to run the application and source code. Additionally, if you are developing an application in Phase 1 itself, please also submit a video demo link.
8.Does one have to be online and available for the entire duration of the Hackathon?
No, one does not need to be logged in on HackerEarth or be online for the entire duration. You can develop the idea synopsis on your local system based on the given themes and then submit it on HackerEarth, on the specific challenge page.

If you want you can submit a small presentation or video that demos your submission, however it's not mandatory, and only good to have for Phase 1. In case you are one of the winners, you might be invited to demo your application at a physical event, details of which will be shared with sufficient advance notice.
