The Next Gen Honda Connect is an advanced technology platform with over 32 features. It is designed to enhance comfort and convenience, Safety and Security, and Peace of Mind for the customers. It has a host of features like remote operation of AC, Door Lock/Unlock, etc. allowing vehicle operations and tracking status of your car on your smartphone. Additionally, as part of a packaged solution, some exciting features of this application have been extended to the comfort of your home by establishing a vehicle to home connectivity with the use of “Honda” Alexa skill. This skill can be downloaded from the Amazon Alexa skill store & can be accessed via your smartphone or Amazon smart devices.

Honda Alexa Skill

the Honda Alexa Skill allows customers to access their Honda Car from the comfort of their homes and also explore information about Honda Cars.

Packed with a wide range of capabilities, this Honda Skill will lets customers remotely lock/unlock their car doors, turn on AC and set cooling modes, fetch the current location of the car, share service history, and even check the status of the engine health, head light, fuel, odometer reading, doors, battery health, seatbelts, and many more.

• Trip Diary & Social Media Sharing: Use Honda connect to create a digital album by attaching photos to locations you visited & share it with your friends & families.
• Live Car Tracking: Allows you to track the car location, Status of Fuel, Seat Belt, Odometer Reading, Parking Brake, AC, Speed, Malfunction Lights, Battery Voltage, Drive Range, Engine Coolant Temperature & Vehicle Interior Temperature updated every 3 minutes.
• Navigate to my Car: Navigate to your car in case you forgot where you parked your car.
• Stolen Vehicle Tracking: In case your vehicle gets stolen use this feature to track the car every minute irrespective of the fact that the engine is ON or OFF.
• Live Car location Sharing: Car pool with your friends, share your live location with them.
• Contextual Speeding Alert: Worried that your chauffeur or a family member drives too fast? Get alerted in case they exceed the road speed limit.
• Find My Car: Forgot where you parked your car? use this feature to “blink” and “beep” and find your car.
• Remote Functions (AC, Door, Boot Open): Use it to cool the car before-hand if it is parked under the sun by switching on the AC for up to 10 minutes and set the temperature as warm, normal or cool; or unlock and lock the door or unlock boot without giving your keys to strangers.
• Car Dashboard: Check your windows, doors, light & boot status of your car in case you forgot to lock your car.
• Battery Alert: Get alerted in case the car’s battery malfunctions.
• Unauthorized access alert: Get alerted in case someone tries break into your car and unlocks it without key.
• Auto Crash Notification: Automated alert via SMS to emergency contacts in case air bag is deployed.
• Geo-Fence Alert: Set a “Geo-Fence” around a desired location or your car which alerts you when it is breached.
• Service Scheduler: User can schedule a service appointment, check his service history, calculate the estimated service cost and also track the car status while the car is in service at Honda Dealer Workshop
• Payment Gateway: Offer multiple payment gateways for payment towards Service at Honda Dealerships, Extended Warranty, Road Side Assistance

Note: All the teams shortlisted for the prototype phase will be given access to Connected Platform Data Sets that contain data points generated by Honda cars such as location, latitude & longitude, odometer reading, speed data, etc.
