IBM zStudent Contest

In drops 1-5, you will be building a solution with certain data points. For your final submission (drop 6), we will be giving you random data to ensure that your solution works for any given type of data and produces the correct output, format, content, and values.

There are two phases of judging after correct submission:

1. Automated Ranking Process
2. Judges Ranking

Phase 1: Automated Ranking Process

This ranks the submissions based on:

• Ability to successfully process datasets, not contingent on type of data being passed
• Produce a PDF submission using HTML or Markdown
• Speed (quickness) of execution of dynamically generated data

The top-ranked submission will be forwarded to judges for manual review to select 3 global winners and 6 regional winners.

Phase 2: Judges Rankings

Judges will review the automated rankings and judge based on the following:

1. The overall readability of the PDF and documentation of submission process
2. Elegance and creativity used to differentiate from others. Use of markdown, images and stylesheets. Overall design of the submission
3. Maximized use of system-provided software utilities over 3rd party packages or tools

Based on their review, the judges will select the global and regional winners.
