Submissions will be evaluated on:
Objective Criteria:
- Ability to successfully process judging datasets, compatible and consistent with the Drops test data.
- Production of correct output data format and content
- Contestants will be required to produce a set of output data in the correct location(s), with correct name(s), and contents which match both the required format(s) and values
- Flexibility and resilience in handling conditions such as non-printable characters, escape characters, mixed-case characters, etc. without resulting in errors (see #1 above)
- Automatic ranking, using factors in descending importance:
- Total elapsed time for execution of the submission
- Total memory resources consumed during execution
- Total CPU resources consumed during execution
The 3 top-ranked submissions for each region (indicated by the contestants’ regional selection at Registration) will be forwarded to judges for manual review, and selection of a single winner. All regional winners will then be reviewed, and final 3 global winners selected.
(Refer to “Prizes” section for breakdown by region, and prize values).
Judges ratings:
- The overall readability of the presentation document output
- Elegance and creativity used to differentiate from others
- Maximized use of system-provided software utilities over 3rd party packages or tools
Judges decisions are final.
