Judging Criteria

Judging of HACKSTORM: INTEL® AI PC EDITION hackathon will be in two parts: 

  • Idea Submission Round:
    • Effective usage of Intel® AI PC and Intel® AI Stack
    • The solution should be original and clearly distinguishable from other submissions in the same category
    • The solution must effectively address a real-life problem
    • Scale and novelty of technology is an evaluation metric

Leaderboard Rank: Participants' rankings will be determined based on their submissions. The leaderboard will be the primary reference for this part of the judging process.

  • Intel® Panel Judging:
    • Code Quality: The quality and efficiency of the code submitted will be evaluated by the jury. Clear, well-structured, and optimized code will be highly regarded.
    • Usage of Intel® Tiber™ AI Cloud/ Intel® Developer Cloud: The extent to which participants effectively leverage the Intel® Tiber™ AI Cloud/ Intel® Developer Cloud infrastructure will be considered. Efficient utilization of resources and tools will be a factor in judging.
    • AI Reference Kit & Intel® AI Toolkit & its Libraries: The use of Intel®'s AI Reference Kit, Intel AI Toolkit, and associated libraries will be assessed. Innovative application and integration of these resources will be a plus.
    • App Creation: If participants have created an application as part of their solution, its functionality, user-friendliness, and overall utility will be taken into account.
    • Blog & GitHub Repository Submission: Participants are encouraged to provide detailed documentation in the form of a blog and a GitHub repository. The quality, completeness, and clarity of these submissions will be considered.
    • Creativity and Innovation: Creativity and innovation in problem-solving and solution design will be key criteria. Unique approaches and out-of-the-box thinking will be rewarded.

The judging process will encompass both objective measures, such as Effective usage of Intel® AI PC and Intel® AI Stack, The solution should be original and clearly distinguishable from other submissions in the same category, The solution must effectively address a real-life problem, Scale and novelty of technology is an evaluation metric, code quality, and subjective assessments, such as creativity and innovation, to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of participants' work. The decisions of the jury will be final and binding.
