Judging Criteria:
- Execution of Theme
- The technology is able to express the theme “XXX”.
- It effectively demonstrates how it addresses a pressing medical-related risk faced by the tech sector.
- Ability for the judges to clearly understand (1) what the desired functionality is, and (2) see that the functionality is behaving as expected
Question to ask:
- Does the technology present any link or relevance to the theme? Did the presentation easily express the functionality of the technology?
- Innovation
- The technology is able to exhibit its technical soundness (potential), and demonstrate how it was developed and the bases for its conceptualization.
- The technology is more technically challenging than others.
Question to ask:
- Is this a new perspective on the matter that might change the field? Ground-breaking?
- Novelty
- The technology is able to show that it does not duplicate any technologies developed in the past.. Or, some elements of the technology are novel or have not been seen before.
Questions to ask:
- Is this a new piece of technology
- Viability
