URI Online Judge and HackerEarth are joining forces to bring you the 1st Collegiate Cup Brazil 2017.
We are looking for the best computing science / engineer students in Brazil and for this, we are throwing an algorithm competition for university students all over the country.
The participants will be challenged by problem setters from India and Brazil with 8 problems of varying difficulty levels.
The Collegiate Cup Brazil will be divided into two stages. The open qualifier will be held online on the HackerEarth platform on May 27 and the finals will take place on the URI platform on June 17.
Who can participate?
If you live in Brazil and you’re a college student with skills to program, this is your chance to prove how good you are.
You can show your skills and represent your University as long as one of the team members is currently enrolled in the university you have chosen.
How it works
Open Qualifier
Your team and you can participate in our open qualifier as long as you represent your university. The open qualifier will be live for 24 hours on May 27, and it will be based on algorithms. This challenge will have 4 questions.
The programming languages available for open qualifier are:
C, C++, Java, Python and Python 3.
Your team needs to have 2 to 3 members. All of the team members have to be Brazilians and at least one of the team members needs to be currently enrolled in the University.
Finals
The best 100 teams from all over Brazil will represent their universities in the Collegiate Cup finals. The finals will be held on the URI Online Judge platform, and it will take place on June 17, 2017. This challenge will have 4 questions.
Guidelines
- For the programming questions in the test, you need to choose one language from the given list and attempt.
- All inputs for the programming problem are from STDIN and output to STDOUT.
- To understand more about the judge environment, time limits, etc. you can read the FAQs of HackerEarth here and URI Online Judge here.
- For the Open Qualifiers, programming questions have a 'Compile and Test' option where you can run your solution against sample test cases before submitting.
- You can submit solution for a programming problem as many times as you want.
- Please DO NOT use any Online Development Environment which exposes your code to the public. We take plagiarism seriously and do not entertain any activity which is against the spirit of learning/ programming. Violations can lead to account suspension or permanent blacklisting by Hackerearth and URI Online Judge.
- All of the team members have to be Brazilians and at least two of the team members needs to currently be enrolled in a Brazilian University. Otherwise, they are not eligible for the prizes.
- You must connect URI account to HackerEarth to be eligible for the qualifier.
- You must create an account on URI to be eligible for the qualifier, if not already registered on URI.
- You must have at least 50% profile complete on HackerEarth and should fill the following information - Name, University, Graduation Year, Location, Contact.
- In order to win the Collegiate Cup, the team needs to submit proof of identity [college ID]
