David Dechamps is Senior Vice President, Digital Partnerships for Europe. In this role, he is responsible for the management and development of Mastercard’s with digital partners for the European markets. These include the smart phone payment partners, Google, Apple and Samsung.
Prior to this, he was the Benelux General Manager at Mastercard Europe. In this role he was responsible for all sales, marketing and operations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, which included close cooperation with the financial institutions as well as developing new solutions for retailers and cardholders.
Since he joined Mastercard in 2002, David held various positions as Head of Sales Products & Solutions and Vice President Prepaid Product Sales responsible for selling Mastercard’s prepaid solution across Europe.
David has worked in the electronic payments sector for over 20 years. During that time he has worked for a bank, a vendor and a card scheme, giving him a valuable ability to understand the different perspectives in the payments industry.
David came to Mastercard from the card manufacturer Gemalto, where he was marketing manager in the financial services sector for two years. He started his career as a product manager for an international cash management system at General de Banque (now BNP Paribas Fortis) in Belgium. David holds a degree in Commercial Engineering and a Masters in Telecommunications.
Wilfried Remans is Director CSR & Public Affairs at BNP Paribas Fortis. An experience built on managing relations with specific stakeholders that co-create the reality on any organisation: journalists, trade unions, NGO’s and public authorities. The ability to identify the key questions or essential messages, also when things don’t turn out as planned. The challenge and return of working with diverse teams in large organisations. Changing things for the better, one step at a time.
Allianz Benelux transformation journey identified Data as a foundational block and hired Sudaman Thoppan Mohanchandralal as regional Chief Data Officer. It also took a strategic decision that a Benelux Data Office will be created reporting directly to the Regional CEO, Anthony Bradshaw. In the scope of Benelux Data Office is all businesses of Allianz within the region Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg and the objective of the Benelux data office is to improve in the seven major areas such as Data Governance, Data Management, Data Architecture Vision, Business Intelligence, Master Data, Advanced Analytics and Data Culture. Sudaman Thoppan Mohanchandral, as regional Chief Data Officer heads the Benelux Data Office.
Sudaman has 18+ years of professional experience all in the world of Data & Analytics and is a recognized industry expert & speaker in the field of Data and Analytics.
Michiel Van Acoleyen currently works within the department of Prudential Supervision of Market Infrastructures and Oversight of the National Bank of Belgium (NBB). His role within the central bank covers the organisation of the NBBs FinTech Single Point of Contact, a platform that aims to facilitate the dialogue between the regulator and firms offering innovative products or services within the financial sector. Besides these activities, Michiel also contributes to the European and Belgian regulatory work on the implementation of the Revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2). Next to his position at the National Bank of Belgium, Michiel is involved with VITALITE Senegal, a Senegalese based, social business that sells Pico Solar Home Systems to the rural population based on a digital rent-to-own model. Prior to joining the NBB, Michiel studied Economics at the KU Leuven and International Management at ESADE Business School.
