Mala is passionate about making people employable by bridging the gap between their existing and required skills. In her quest to fulfil this mission, she is authoring books to help IT professionals and students succeed on industry-recognized Oracle Java certifications.
With over 17 years of experience in IT as a developer, architect, trainer, and mentor, she has worked with international training and software services organizations on various Java projects. She is experienced in mentoring teams on technical and software development processes.
She is the founder and lead mentor of a portal (www.ejavaguru.com) that offers Java courses for Oracle certifications.
Mala is a firm believer in creativity as an essential life skill. To popularize the importance of creativity, innovation, and design in life, she and her daughter started KaagZevar (www.KaagZevar.com)—a platform for nurturing these values.
Kashyap Deorah is an entrepreneur, investor and author. Over seventeen years, he has split his time between Silicon Valley and India building global technology companies. Besides India and US, he has done business in China, South East Asia and Northern Europe. Kashyap has started and sold three companies, worked with public companies in the US and India, invested in a score of startups, and mentored many more. He started his first company RightHalf.com during his final year at IIT Bombay in 2000. After an acquisition by a Silicon Valley company, Kashyap spent seven years in the US. He returned to India in 2007 to start Chaupaati Bazaar, a phone commerce marketplace, then merged it with India’s leading retailer Future Group. In 2012, he co-founded mobile payments company Chalo and sold it to San Francisco based OpenTable, a leader in the restaurant reservations space. He is now running his 4th startup HyperTrack from the basement of his home in New Delhi, where he lives with his wife, five year old son and one year old daughter. He is passionate about traveling to new places and telling a good story.
Sairee Chahal is the founder and CEO of www.sheroes.in – an online career destination for women. The SHEROES community has access to high growth career resources, mentorship and support. SHEROES engages with businesses to help them connect with female talent in the form of employees, partners, customers and business owners. Sairee is India’s foremost women-at- work evangelist and earlier co-founded Fleximoms. She is also the convener for The SHEROES Summit and has been instrumental in bringing together businesses and women professionals on a common platform. Nominated for the Editor’s choice for L’oreal Femina Women’s Award, she is also a Cartier Women’s Award Initiative for 2012 alumni, a TED speaker, Business Today, Most Powerful Women in Indian Business 2012 and has been featured on shows such as Young Turks, Pioneering Spirit and What Women Want. Sairee went to Jawaharlal Nehru University for an MPhil in international relations and to IMT, Ghaziabad for a PG in business management.
