Welcome to FutureForge, the hackathon that redefines the future. We're here to bridge technology, innovation, and sustainability to tackle tomorrow's challenges head-on. We invite you to join us on this transformative journey where collaboration, innovation, and forging solutions are the norm. At FutureForge, sustainability isn't just a buzzword; it's the driving force. We challenge you to harness technology's power to create lasting change for a better world.
Under the overarching theme of "FutureForge," participants will have the opportunity to delve into four distinct tracks, each focused on a critical area of development:
Participants shall select one or multiple tasks from the mentioned tasks under each theme and design the prototype. The participants can bring in their innovations and take up tasks independently.
In the context of IT Sustainability, address the environmental challenges arising from the rapid expansion of the information technology sector. The goal is to develop innovative solutions that make IT practices more eco-friendly, reduce carbon footprints, and foster sustainable development.
Tasks
1. Data center cooling efficiency
Develop methods to improve the cooling efficiency of data centers, a crucial factor in reducing the energy consumption of these facilities.
2. Carbon footprint tracking
Create tools or platforms enabling organizations to measure and track their carbon footprint resulting from IT operations accurately.
3. Supply chain sustainability
Investigate and suggest sustainable practices in the IT supply chain, ensuring ethical sourcing, reduced environmental impact, and responsible manufacturing processes.
Efficiently grading MCQ tests is a time-consuming task for educators. The challenge is to develop a mobile/desktop/web application that streamlines the process by enabling teachers to scan OMR sheets using their smartphones, automating the grading process.
Tasks
1. User-friendly interface:
Design a user-friendly interface that ensures easy navigation and usage for teachers, optimizing their experience with the OMR grading app.
2. Answer key management:
Implement a feature allowing teachers to upload the answer key, specifying question numbers, correct options, and corresponding marks.
3. Efficient evaluation process:
Develop algorithms for evaluating answer sheets based on the uploaded key. The system should support evaluating multiple answer sheets using the same key.
