1. Do I need to pay any money to register for the GE HealthHack?
No. you do not have to pay anything to anyone to register yourself for GE HealthHack.

2. Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the GE HealthHack?
If you love to code, you are more than welcome to participate in the GE HealthHack.

3. How do I submit what I have made for the GE HealthHack?
You have to submit the idea of your application for the first round of the GE HealthHack. Post which you can hack your application during the Hackathon @GE Healthcare, Bengaluru Campus.

4. Do we need to have the entire idea fully working?
The entire idea need not be fully implemented however, the idea submitted should be functionally explained so that it can be reviewed by the judges.

5. Since there is no specific technology mentioned, are there any restrictions on using number of pre-built libraries?
There is no restriction to use any language, technology stack, or libraries. You can use any of them to create the web/mobile application.

6. Do I need to give a demo for the product that I have built?
Yes, the shortlisted teams from the round one will be invited to hack your application at a physical event, details of which will be shared with sufficient advance notice.

7. A fully developed application need to have a solid backend for data storage like SQL, SharePoint etc. since its online, is it accepted to show only the proto type of it?
Yes it's absolutely fine to submit just the prototype. If you use any database like MySQL or PostgresSQL you can also submit a database dump along with your submission. However you are allowed to submit just the prototype.

8. If it is a team submission, does that mean all team members will have access to work at the same time?
Yes, all team members can login from their account and do application submission on HackerEarth.

9. What are the different rounds of the GE HealthHack event?
There are three rounds for the process namely; Round 1 - Idea submission round on HackerEarth platform; Round 2 - Hackathon @GE Healthcare, Bengaluru Campus; Round 3 - Solution realization and Grand Finale for the shortlisted three teams.

10. What happens after Idea Submission phase?
After the end of Idea Submission phase on 29 Jan 2017, 11:55 pm, we will evaluate the ideas and shortlist candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be invited over email and telephone on 6 Feb 2017 for the offline hackathon at the GE Campus on 11-12 Feb 2017. The same will be updated on the platform as well.

11. How many teams can participate in Round 3?
The top 3 teams shortlisted from the Hackathon @GE Healthcare (Round 2) will be eligible to take part in the Round 3 (Solution Realization and Grand Finale).

12. What is Round 3: Solution Realization and Grand Finale?
The Solution and Realization is the finale of the GE HealthHack. The finale round includes the mentoring of the three team shortlisted from Round 2 by GE Healthcare. During the Round 3, the teams will convert their projects into a realizable solution.

13. What is required for each of the various rounds of the GE HealthHack?
Idea submission round:- Submit the idea to the promoter through the Hackerearth portal. Hackathon @GE :- Demo the prototype, Submit the source code, other binaries and all other artifacts to use the code and binary to the promoter.
Solution Realization and Grand Finale :- Demo the realized solution, Submit the source code, other binaries and all other artifacts to use the code and binary to the promoter.

14. What are the expected dates for the results and announcements?
Post Round 1 - the idea submission round on the HackerEarth platform, the shortlisted teams will be informed in the next 10 days on the platform and by means of email/call communication. The invited teams will develop their hack during Round 2 - Hackathon @GE Healthcare. The top 3 teams from the Hackathon @GE Healthcare will be informed after 24 hours long hackathon and will be awarded with 1 lakh each and will be invited for Round 3 (Solution Realization and Grand Finale). The Solution Realization and Grand Finale will select one winning team awarding cash prize of 4 Lakhs after 2 months long mentoring by GE.
